Little Builders When: Friday, July 5th Where: Home Depot, Gandy Blvd. Bring your little builder to Home Depot from 9am - 12pm to participate in a builder’s workshop. Why: Kids love to experience building something with their own hands. A true confidence building activity for both boys and girls. Plus, they get a certificate of completion, a Home Depot apron, and a pin for each project they complete. Come out and help your child build something special for their room.

The Backyardigans Live, The Tale of the Mighty Knights
When: July 26th-27th 11am, 2pm and 5pm Where: Carol Morsani Hall Why: The popular Nick TV show comes to the stage in an adventure to face a dragon and return a prized egg to King Pablo. Tickets can be purchased at: www.tbpac.com

An Artistic Celebration

Saturday, July 11th Where: Hyde Park Village Why: Come celebrate the Tampa Artist Emporium’s first birthday with a party that is sure to inspire. Live painting and sculpture demonstrations, complimentary wine bar, food from Timpano, fine art and prize raffle, new artist exhibits and studio portraits from Daniel Goncalves will all be part of this event. Event is from 5pm - 9pm.

Westfield Mall
From 6-9 pm on July 4th, festivities, giveaways and raffles will abound at the Westfield Mall in Brandon. The 5th annual fireworks display is slated to start at 9pm.

clearwater
Coachman Park
Fourth of July festivities will be in full swing here starting in the afternoon with activities and family friendly music. Fireworks are currently slated to begin at 9:30. Bring a picnic basket and a blanket for some outdoors fun.

safety harbor
Safety Harbor Marina
This free event for the whole family will feature food, live entertainment, children’s activities and more! The event will run from 5-9:30, July 4th with fireworks starting at 9:00 sharp.

st. petersburg
The Pier
Clear Channel Broadcasting is sponsoring a spectacular fireworks display on July 4th at the Pier. Note: Due to lack of funding, St. Pete Beach will not have a fireworks display this year.

tampa
Channelside Fireworks
Festivities, music, family activities and of course fireworks will all be at Channelside Plaza in Downtown Tampa. Event runs from 12-2 am, July 4th.

The Florida Aquarium
Take advantage of the Florida Aquarium and its entertainment value while waiting for the fireworks. The aquarium and Explore-a-Shore will stay open until 9:30 to help accommodate families waiting to see the fireworks display.

tarpon springs
Patriotic Party in Craig Park
A true, old fashioned picnic party which will include bubble gum blowing contest, watermelon seed spitting contest, hoola hoop contest and sack races are just some of the festivities to be held in Craig Park. Picnic foods and drinks will be available along with performances by local bands. No fireworks. Event runs 11-3, July 4th.

Howard Park Fireworks
After the old-fashioned picnic in Craig Park, head over to Howard Park for some fireworks. The fireworks will begin at dusk.
