Animal Safari Stories
When: Thursday, July 24th Where: Center Place in Brandon Why: Brandon’s Civic Center, The Center Place, is featuring two performances by Katie Adams and Her Make Believe Theatre who will delight young children with three stories of animals and the wild. Two performances, one at 10:15am and one at 11:45am, with ticket prices at just $6 for children over the age of two. Tickets must be purchased in advance, so visit www.centerplacebrandon.com for ticket info.
Kid ID Service
When: Friday, August 1st and Friday, August 8th Where: 1st-Friendship Park, Bay to Bay Blvd, 8th-Benito Activity Center, 10065 Cross Creek Blvd. Why: The City of Tampa and the Parks and Recreation Department have joined forces with Feldman Orthodontics and Kid ID to host several data-gathering sessions in case of your child being reported missing. With parental permission, digital photos, electronic fingerprints and other important info. will be taken and stored electronically. A DNA profile kit can also be included for a minimal fee. Back to School Fair
When: Saturday, August 9th Where: Museum of Science and Industry Why: From 10am - 4pm come out to MOSI for a fair designed to prepare you and your child for the coming school year. This event is free to MOSI members and only $10 for non-members. Ticket includes admission to the fair, MOSI, Kids Fun Zone, Kids in Charge, and the exhibit, Dinosaurs.

Street Festival At The Harbor
When: Friday, July 18th Where: Free street festival in downtown Safety Harbor every third Friday of the month. This street festival from 6pm -10pm culminates with a free concert at the John Wilson Park Gazebo Why: Stroll the downtown shops & visit the quality craft vendors. Grab a bite to eat at any one of the food stations set up along Main Street or step into one of Safety Harbor's many unique downtown restaurants. Proceeds of the events benefit a different local charity every month. This month the theme is Sidewalk Sale and the charity it benefits is Tampa Bay Harvest.
WaZoo at the Zoo
When: Saturday, August 2nd Where: Lowry Park Zoo Why: Noted by The USA Today as “One of the Top 10 Beer Festivals in the Country” WaZoo is a fun way to spend a warm Saturday evening. With international and local beer selections, a beautiful wine garden, food sampling from local restaurants, and live entertainment, the evening promises to be a memorable way to spend time with friends without the kids.
