Preschool Fair
When: Thursday, February 28th, 10-12 Where: Port Tampa Community Center, 4799 West Lancaster Street, 33616 Why: Mark this one on your calendar preschool parents! If you are searching for the preschool that is the perfect fit for your little one, look no further than this Preschool Fair sponsored by Moms Club of Tampa-South/Tampa-Palma Ceia and babynewsbits.com. From 10 am -2 pm, parents will have an opportunity to interact and ask questions of representatives of many preschools in the area. A rare, time-saving opportunity to get a better feel of what our community has to offer our littlest students.

Winter Carnival
When: Saturday, February 16th, 10-12 Where: Baby Bungalow, Azeele St. Why: Any event at the Bungalow is guaranteed fun for your little one, but this Winter Carnival promises to enchant the adults too. Fun activities, games and yummy treats will all be available---and it’s free! Presented by Tampa Preparatory Key Club Students.

Florida State Fair
When: Thursday, February 7th through Monday, February 18th, 9 am daily Where: Florida State Fairgrounds Why: You may need more than just one day to experience all that this fair has to offer: agricultural and livestock activities, competitions, sports history, equestrian center shows and amazing concerts. Admission tickets and armbands are cheapest when purchased in advance (available through Sweetbay Supermarkets) or pay $10 for adults and $6 for children 6-11 at the door (children 5 and under are free). When: Friday, February 15th and Saturday, February 16th, 11 am Where: Great Explorations, The Children’s Museum Why: Come to this spectacular kid’s museum for a Wizard of Oz puppet show your kids are sure to love.

Touch a Truck
When: Saturday, February 16th, 10-2 Where: Northside Hospital, 6000 49th Street N., St. Pete Why: We know quite a few moms who attend the Touch a Truck events and their kids LOVE it! And why wouldn’t they---kids get up close and personal with construction and specialty vehicles. A real hands-on experience for any truck loving tot.

Log Cabin Craft
When: Saturday, February 16th, 10 am -12 pm Where: Michael’s Craft Store, South Dale Mabry Hwy. Why: Bring your crafty kid to Michael’s this Saturday for a log cabin craft made of craft sticks. Project is $2 and runs every 30 minutes.

When: Saturday, February 23rd and Sunday, February 24th Where: Hyde Park Village Why: Come to Hyde Park next weekend for a spectacular display of fine arts and crafts from a bevy of national artists. Enjoy a meal and terrific shopping experience in the heart of South Tampa, our very own Hyde Park.
