Earth Day at the Zoo
When: Saturday, April 19th Where: Lowry Park Zoo Why: Come celebrate the beauty of mother earth this Sunday at a festival with a mission: Get Out: Enjoy, Explore, Protect. The Tampa Bay Tribune, The Sierra Club and The City of Tampa have joined forces to provide over 50 exhibitors with products, services and information on how to go green. Children’s organic activities will include fun, hands-on ways to encourage recycling and caring for the earth.
Earth Day Festival
When: Saturday, April 19th 10am -6:30pm and Sunday, April 20th 10am - 5pm Where: Honeymoon Island, Dunedin Why: Arts and crafts, food, kayak race, children’s activities and other activities will all be used to celebrate Earth Day. Free entrance to the event with paid parking, $5.00 per car.
Art in the Park
When: Saturday, April 19th, 11am -5pm Where: District Park, Boyette Road, Wesley Chapel Why: See a bevy of local and traveling artists at this showcase of fine arts and crafts.
Prenatal Yoga and Yoga for Wee Ones
When: Weekly Where: Yogani Studios, S. Tampa Why: Yogani Studios mission of physical and mental well-being translates beautifully into artfully designed classes for babies, toddlers and older children. Every age group is covered with Mommy and Baby, Crawler to Toddler and Yoga for Kids classes. Schedule for the rest of April: Toddler Time every Tuesday, April 15th, 22nd, 29th at 10:15am and 11am, Baby Time every Wednesday, April 16th, 23rd, 30th at 10:15am and 11am. Pops in the Park
When and Where: Various, see schedule below Why: Let me count the ways Baby News Bits loves Pops in the Park…Fresh spring air, picnics, families bonding and amazing music all await you this spring, courtesy of Target and the Florida Orchestra. Their Pops in the Park is a series of outdoor FREE concerts designed to be gobbled up and enjoyed by every member of the family. Great for just mom and dad or bring the kiddies too. Plan to be at one or all of them!

TECO Energy Brandon Balloon Classic
When: Sunday, April 27th-Tuesday April 29th Where: Vandenberg Airport Why: Over 50 colorful hot air balloons will fill the sky at the airport in Brandon when balloonists from all over the country come to display beautiful balloons. In addition to the exquisite balloons, this event will feature an Amusement Park Ride area, interactive exhibits and of course, hot air balloon rides.
