Studio 10 Programming Notes
Here's what's coming up inside Studio 10...On Friday the 27th, we'll talk with Indy racing super star Danica Patrick live in the studio as she gets us geared up for the St. Pete Honda Grand Prix! And, on Monday, March 2nd, we'll kick off our six month Get Fit Challenge! Three bay area women will take on new fitness routines, new eating regiments and new attitudes to win big prizes. Plus, if you're looking for the perfect night out, next week, we'll tell you about the Monty Python musical that has adult audiences roaring with laughter - it's "Spamalot", and it's worth the cost of a sitter!

ART SPOT -TAMPA MUSEUM OF ART
When:
Saturdays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m Where: 2306 N. Howard Ave Why: This free drop-in program will really spark your child's artistic talent. No registration is required and each activity is self-guided. See schedule and themes below:
Feb 28 / Colorful Gift Boxes
Papier-mache boxes in a decorative hard finish will be created and cherished by students for years to come.
Mar 14 / Artist Trading Cards
Students will share their artistic talent with others and leave with a unique selection of artwork from several different Art Spot participants and staff.
Mar 21 / Plaster Hand Casts
Kids will use plaster gauze to create a mold of their hand that can later be decorated at home.
Mar 28 / Personal Shrines
Students create a box that advertises all that is important to them.

Children's Photography Workshop
When:
Saturday, March 7th, 10:30-12:00 Where: The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, Downtown Tampa Why: This workshop for kids will start with a tour of the museum and then commence with hands-on photographic application as children create sun prints. Perfect activity for an older child interested in the photographic arts. Cost is $20 for members, $30 for non-members.

Picnic in the Park
When:
Sunday, March 15th, 11:30-2:30 Where: University of Tampa Grounds Why: This is sure to be a great event for families! Enjoy the outdoors Victorian style, as the grounds of UT are transformed~listen to a barber shop quartet perform while admiring the women and men dressed in Victorian clothing. Have your family try their hands at an old-fashioned sport such as tiddlywinks or horseshoes. At 1:15, the UT Band will perform a free, 30 minute concert. Touch-A-Truck Tampa

Saturday, March 21st, 10-2 Where: Macfarlane Park on MacDill Ave. Why: The 1st Annual Tampa Touch-A-Truck is here! Bring your little to the park for an awesome hands-on experience with vehicles of all kinds, makes and models! Touch-A-Truck is raising funds to renovate local parks and improve their accessibility for all people.

Thursday, March 19-21st Where: Hyde Park Village Why: From Thursday through Saturday, local and professional artists will create amazing chalk drawings throughout Snow Circle. On the 19th, there will be a reception with Business Committee of the Arts members to officially kick-off the event. On Saturday, a family friendly event with vendors, entertainment and announcements of the winner will take place. Baby News Bits proudly supports the arts community in Tampa.
