A Magical Event
When: Saturday, March 22nd Where: MOSI Why: Come see the newest exhibit at MOSI this weekend, ‘Magic: The Science of Illusion’. Throughout time, magicians have used science, physics and math to create some of the most outstanding magic tricks. See both sides of the illusion, both the viewer’s perspective and the magicians. Free event for members. Adults $23.95, children $19.95, seniors $21.95.

When: Saturday, March 22nd , 9-11 Where: Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center Why: Looking for another way to celebrate Easter? Head out to the Arts Center for a celebration that includes a petting zoo, strolling magician, safe-kids activity zone, free breakfast, free pictures with the Easter Bunny, arts and crafts and even face painting. This free event does not require tickets. Sponsors include radio station 94-9, Coca-Cola and Tampa General Hospital.

T.V. Awareness at Jan Platt Library
When: Tuesday, March 25th Where: Jan Platt Library, Manhattan Ave. Why: Learn how to help your child develop healthy viewing habits and educate yourself on how to get the most from their screen time. A workshop specifically geared to the parents and caretakers of 0-5 yr. olds. This is a free program, but the seating is limited to 30. To register, call 272-5017.

When: Thursday, March 27th, 6-9 Where: St. Joseph’s Hospital, Women’s Pavilion, 4th floor classrooms Why: Learn life-saving techniques that could help your child in a choking situation. This evening class only costs $30. Register now at www.sjbhealth.org

When: Thursday, March 27th, 6-8 Where: Belfair Park Townhomes, Hyde Park Why: This Make it Happen workshop is a thought provoking, interactive workshop that will lead women through setting financial goals and overcoming hurdles to achieve what they want. When: Friday, April 11th, 10-12 Where: Baby Bungalow, 3106 West Azeele Street Why: This gem of a parent and child resource is turning 8, and you know that we will be there to help celebrate! Games and face painting and goodies galore. Bring some cash to enter the Baby News Bits $3 raffle—you could win one of 8 amazing prizes including a spa pedicure, tea for tea, hip baby gear and much more! All proceeds to benefit the Bungalow. Street Festival At The Harbor
When: Friday, March 21st Where: Free street festival in downtown Safety Harbor every third Friday of the month. This street festival from 6-10 culminates with a free concert at the John Wilson Park Gazebo Why: Stroll the downtown shops & visit the quality craft vendors. Grab a bite to eat at any one of the food stations set up along Main Street or step into one of Safety Harbor's many unique downtown restaurants. Proceeds of the events benefit a different local charity every month. In celebration of St. Patty’s Day, they are featuring celtic music by Lucid Druid.
