Baby Bungalow turns 8!
When: Friday, April 11th, 10-12 Where: Baby Bungalow, 3106 West Azeele Street Why: This gem of a parent and child resource is turning 8, and you know that we will be there to help celebrate! Games and face painting and goodies galore. Bring some cash to enter the Baby News Bits $5 raffle—you could win one of 8 amazing prizes including a spa pedicure, tea for tea, hip baby gear and much more! All proceeds to benefit the Bungalow. Party is free, but you must RSVP by April 4th to #356-1293 Ext. 247. And, if you are in the gift giving mood, take a look at the Bungalow’s wish list: poster board and stickers, small smocks, tempera paint and fat crayons, Play-Doh, playground sand, musical instruments, preschool cd’s, bubble solution, dress-up clothes, dot paints and peg boards for toddlers.
Healthy Kids Day
When: Saturday, April 12th 9:30-11:30 Where: YMCA Interbay-Glover location, Himes Blvd. Why: Bounce house, healthy snacks, fitness demonstrations for kids and more all await your family at the Y this Saturday. This open-to-the-public event is sure to reinforce healthy habits to your children.
Week of the Young Child
When: Saturday, April 12th 10-2 Where: Al Lopez Park, N. Himes Blvd. Why: Come to this family fun day celebration to bring awareness to the needs of young children. With games, crafts, magicians, clowns and live stage shows there is surely something to delight every member of your family. Special appearance by children’s characters Clifford the Big Red Dog and Maya and Miguel.
Festival of States Family Fun Fest
When: Saturday, April 12th Where: North Straub Park, St. Petersburg, 12-4 Why: Immediately after the Day Parade, which begins at 10, is the Family Fun Fest, a large family event with two stages of live entertainment, games, rock walls, make-n-take crafts, clowns, Radio Disney and more. The event is free, but some games require a ticket. Visit www.festivalofstates.com for more information.
Art in the Park
When: Saturday, April 19th, 11-5 Where: District Park, Boyette Road, Wesley Chapel Why: See a bevy of local and traveling artists at this showcase of fine arts and crafts.
Pops in the Park
When and Where: Various, see schedule below Why: Let me count the ways Baby News Bits loves Pops in the Park…Fresh spring air, picnics, families bonding and amazing music all await you this spring, courtesy of Target and the Florida Orchestra. Their Pops in the Park is a series of outdoor FREE concerts designed to be gobbled up and enjoyed by every member of the family. Great for just mom and dad or bring the kiddies too. Plan to be at one or all of them! Schedule:
