Fitness
for Life A Pro with a Heart for Moms
Coming
from Boulder Colorado, voted the fittest city in
America, is Carey Bond, fitness expert with a special
talent of getting moms in shape. Why? Could be the fact
she is a mom of four children herself ranging in ages
from 21 months to 13 years or the fact that she was
group fitness coordinator for Flatiron Fitness Club,
voted best health club in Colorado. Either way, Tampa
got lucky, and this mom’s
mission is to get you in
shape, with or without baby in tow. One of her
specialties? Stroller classes, and get you calendars
out ladies, she offers one in Ballast Point Monday and
Wednesday, 9:30-10:45 am or 11:00-12:15 pm. The class
is starting now, runs through November 7th and includes
a body-toning
mat workout. Carey also offers in-home personal
training and she brings her own equipment, maximizing
your use of baby’s naptimes. Call Carey today

description doesn’t even do justice to the smell…oh,
the smell! Coconut Lemongrass, Cedarwood & Sage,
Lavender & Peppermint, and for autumn Pumpkin Pie
are just a few of the scent sensations available at
Indigo Bee. Utilizing essential oils like Avocado and
Palm and natural herbs and minerals for texture and
color, their hand-made soaps, fizzy bath bombs, natural

Little
Gym Strengthening More than Physical Abilities
Little Gym hasn’t even opened their South Tampa doors
yet, and their classes are already filling up quick. To
those of us that know of their reputation, this doesn’t
come as a surprise. Their professionally developed
gymnastics, dance, karate, sports skills and
cheerleading programs offer a non-competitive way to
involve children in sports offering them a lifetime of
success. As children build flexibility, rhythm, and
balance they improve self-esteem and confidence as
well. Little Gym offers classes for children 4 months-3
years, which
includes parent involvement, as well as activities for
older children that are performed independently from
their parents (they can watch from the spacious lobby).
Little Gym, voted #1 fitness program this year by
Entrepreneur Magazine, is adding children to the
waiting list now for their December opening.

Love
at First Bite: Cali Yogurt
Yumm and fat free don’t
often end up in the same sentence, but I am here to
tell you it is possible, thanks to the new frozen
yogurt sensation in South Tampa, Cali Yogurt. And this
isn’t one of those places that claims it’s frozen
yogurt when it’s really frozen chemicals---this is real
yogurt, which means the health benefits are
there with each bite.
Yogurt is full of friendly living cultures that promote
excellent intestinal health and is full of riboflavin,
protein and calcium. A one once portion of Cali Yogurt
has only 25 calories, 0 fat and 7 grams of sugar.
Available in plain and green tea flavors, a bevy of
toppings are available to dress it up, like fresh kiwi,
organic granola, coconut and even Captain Crunch (for
the kids, of course). Store is located on 2303 West
Morrison Avenue, at the corner of Howard and Morrison.
