Fancy Pants Consignment
Keeping with the spirit of babynewsbits.com’s mommy-hood, is two stay at home moms turned entrepreneurs. Kelly Marlin and Shannon McMahon, dissatisfied by the small return they got at consignment
stores, decided a kid’s consignment sale would be a great service for moms throughout the Bay Area. Now in its third year, Fancy Pants is growing with each sale, offering new and gently used baby, kids’ and teens clothing, gear, toys and maternity items. Consignors set their own price and keep 70% of the sale, less a participation fee. Take note moms, the next sale is scheduled for October 18-20 at St. James United Methodist Church, 845 87th Avenue North, St. Petersburg. A private pre-sale for volunteers and consignors kicks off the event on Thursday, October 18, the night before the
sale opens to the general public. Volunteers are always needed, and the only requirement is that each volunteer must work a three hour shift to be invited to the pre-sale. The event is open to the public on Friday, October 19 from 10 am - 6 pm, and on Saturday, October 20 from 8 am to noon.
