Wee-Go Bottle
The Original BPA Free Bottle
There is recent concern, and rightfully so, over plastic bottles leaching harmful chemicals like bisphenol A, phthalate, PVC and polycarbonate into their contents once heated. One sure fire way to avoid this dangerous interaction? Go back to basics with Babylife’s Wee-Go Bottles made from glass. When glass is heated it does not cause the leakage of potentially harmful chemicals that plastic does and it is more environmentally sound than plastic. Can’t imagine keeping a glass bottle from breaking around the house and in the diaper bag? Babylife has thought of that too, enveloping the glass bottle in a silicone, not plastic, sleeve that is both funky and functional. The bottle and the sleeve can be boiled and placed in the dishwasher together making this bottle even more of a gear-essential. www.gobabylife.com

Tooth Fairy Doll
Celebrating a special milestone
Losing a baby tooth is a special milestone that is made even more fun for a child with the arrival of the tooth fairy during slumber. Making it extra special is this adorable winged doll, personalized for the child. A choice of dark or light colored hair and wing color is available and each doll comes with a personalized card bearing the child’s name. After the tooth is removed, the “tooth fairy” can replace it with her choice of goodies. Hand-sewn of felt, designer Irma Niekum takes extra care in the detail and construction of the dolls. A yarn loop is sewn-in so that the doll can be hung and it comes in an organza bag, www.craftsburykids.com

The LOST Book Club
Calling all fans
There is a lot of anticipation, and unfortunately time to kill, before the January 2009 season premiere of LOST. To help get your fix, a book list that references themes from LOST seasons one through four are now posted on www.http://abc.go.com and are updated regularly on the site. There is even a virtual book club where you can compare notes and discuss the books. Some of the current featured books are classics like On the Road by Jack Kerouac and Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughter-House Five.

Go Green Tid-Bit
Think before you toss. Search www.earth911.org to find out which items — batteries, computers, furniture, and more — are recyclable in your area. You may be surprised to find that many of the things we regularly throw out can actually be reused.
